The book consists of two parts. The first part is divided into six chapters that all together form a complete introduction to game play. The second part of the book provides some insights into go for more advanced players.
In the first three lessons the rules of the game are being explained on a small board (9x9). After the second lesson you can play go in a simple way and after the third chapter the rules are completely clear. The lessons four till six contain some tactical tips and smart moves, as a first start to playing stronger. Each lesson contains some problems that you have to solve.
In the second part of the book a big step is made by introducing go on the official boardsize (19x19). The follows a start to tactical thinking and strategy for advanced players, that is complemented with two game commentaries of strong players.
In between the chapters some historical background information on the game is provided.
