Introducing Wild Truth
The Wild Truth is a conversation starter about diversity, identity and being yourself with surprising facts from the animal kingdom. Because in nature, diversity is the norm. This lesson invites students to talk openly about differences, relationships and family, using inspiring animal stories and stimulating questions.
Suitable for: home, work, upper elementary school and junior high (10-14 years).
Natural Hero Foundation
At Natural Hero Foundation, we look to nature: there, diversity is the norm, in all shapes and colors. We use those stories to help children experience that diversity is something to celebrate and that every child can be proud of who they are. (link:

Use Wild Truth in your lesson to discuss diversity and identity in an approachable and playful way with your class.
You can choose for yourself:
- Show a card and discuss the question in class or in small groups.
- Show the animal story and have students reflect: What do they recognize? What surprises them?
- Encourage a safe atmosphere: anything goes, nothing must. There are no right or wrong answers.
