Designed and made in India by Abhishek Ruikar, this is a puzzle version of the Klein Bottle. A Klein Bottle is a "4-dimensional" shape that has neither an inside nor outside. Like a Möbius strip, if you trace a path along its surface, you will travel on both sides of the surface before returning to the starting point. In the mathematical field of topology, it is a 3D immersion of a closed, one-sided, non-orientable, boundary-free manifold.
The aim is to free the metal ball from inside the klein bottle. Seemingly impossible at first, and quite challenging. But a lot of fun! Ruikar's Klein is made from high-quality 3d-printed resin, finished with a glossy lacquer and resin-based paint that gives it a premium, tactile feel. The translucent surface reveals the intricate interior, while echoing the conceptual elegance of the Klein bottle.
An architect and product designer by day, Abhishek is a puzzle designer from India.
