Aim of the game: to be the last to play a stick.

Game of strategy: should you play the sticks vertically or horizontally? Should you use your own sticks or those of your opponent? Taking the risk that they will be used up; should you play them?
Game of observation: which sticks are holding up which others ? You need a good sense of three dimensions.
