In Smash It!, it’s all about speed and alertness. The goal is simple: find words that match the theme as quickly as possible and try to avoid penalty cards. Be the first to shout out a word that starts with the same letter as the image on the card, and then tap the card right away!
Speed is key, but be careful not to get confused. The last player to shout a word or tap the card must take that card as a penalty card. You’ll also receive the card for a wrong answer—such as repeating a word, calling out the image itself, or tapping the card before calling out a word.
Make it extra challenging The game includes special rules that make everything more difficult. Pay close attention to the icon on the back of the top card of the draw pile, as this determines the current rule:
- Classic: Find a word that starts with the first letter of the picture.
- Person: Use only first names or characters.
- Second Letter: The word must start with the second letter of the object shown.
- Rhyme: Your word must rhyme with the object.
- Color: Find a word that starts with the first letter of the background color.
- Previous: Use the first letter of the object on the previous card.
Once a player has collected 7 penalty cards, the game ends. The player with the fewest penalty cards is the winner!
