5 Sun. Sun is a Japanese measure. 1 sun is approximately 3.0 cm. This puzzle box opens in 21 steps The design is traditional Yosegi-zaiku on the top and bottom panels. This puzzle box was created by Maruyama in Hakone, Japan.  

The Japanese puzzle box (Himitsu-bako) is made exclusively of wood, eco-friendly products. This is one of Japan's traditional works of art. Its origin even dates back to the Edo and Meiji era (1800) in Japan. It has been handed down by a very small number of artisans.
